These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website and services provided by Island Drive Inc. (hereafter referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”), including vehicle rentals. By using this website or making a booking with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use this website or make a reservation.
1. Rental Agreement
When you book a rental vehicle through this website, you enter into a rental agreement with Island Drive Inc. The terms and conditions of this rental agreement, including eligibility and payment requirements, apply to your booking and rental period.
2. Eligibility Requirements
To rent a vehicle from Island Drive Inc., the following eligibility requirements must be met:
Age Requirement: The primary driver must be at least 25 years of age at the time of rental.
Driving Experience: The primary driver must have held a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years prior to the rental date.
License Requirements: The primary driver must present a valid driver’s license. International drivers must also provide an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with their domestic driver’s license.
By booking with us, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Booking and Payment
Reservation: Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Deposit: A deposit may be required to confirm your booking.
Payment Methods: We accept payments via major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), debit cards, PayPal, and Zelle.
Full Payment: Full payment is due upon vehicle pickup or delivery.
Delivery: We deliver rentals to hotels, houses, apartments, businesses, and other agreed locations.
4. Rental Period
The minimum rental period is 10 days.
Late returns will incur additional charges. If you anticipate a late return, please notify us promptly.
5. Insurance and Damage Protection
Coverage: Rentals include Full Comprehensive Insurance with collision and theft protection.
Excess/Deductible: There is an insurance excess (deductible) of BBD $2,500 for any claim.
Customer Responsibility: You are responsible for any costs up to this deductible.
6. Vehicle Use
Authorized Drivers: Only the primary driver and any additional drivers listed in the rental agreement are permitted to operate the vehicle.
Fuel Policy: Vehicles are delivered with half a tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refueling fee will apply.
Mileage: No mileage usage per day is applied.
Vehicle Condition: You agree to return the vehicle in the same condition as when it was rented, barring normal wear and tear. Any damage to the vehicle must be reported to Island Drive Inc. immediately.
7. Prohibited Uses
The vehicle must not be used for:
Off-road driving
Racing or competitive driving
Carrying passengers or goods for hire
Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Unauthorized drivers
Any unlawful activities
Smoking inside the vehicle
8. Late Returns
Late returns without prior notice will incur a charge of [Insert Late Fee] per hour or day beyond the agreed return time. If you expect to return the vehicle late, please contact us as soon as possible to arrange an extension.
9. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Cancellations: If you cancel your booking within 24 hours of the rental pickup time, a cancellation fee of [Insert Fee] will apply. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before pickup are fully refundable.
No-Show: If you do not show up for your reservation without prior cancellation, the full rental amount will be charged.
10. Breakdowns and Accidents
Breakdowns: If your vehicle breaks down during the rental period, you must contact Island Drive Inc. first. We will coordinate repairs or provide a replacement vehicle.
Accidents: In the event of an accident, you must first notify Island Drive Inc. before contacting police or insurance. We will guide you through the necessary steps. A police report may be required depending on the circumstances.
11. Liability
Customer Liability: You are responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the vehicle during the rental period, up to the insurance excess of BBD $2,500.
Island Drive Inc. Liability: We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the rental period, except where such liability is required by law.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. Any information you provide to us will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.
13. Force Majeure
Island Drive Inc. is not liable for failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseen events.
14. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
Island Drive Inc. reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the revised date will be indicated at the top of the page. You are encouraged to review these Terms and Conditions periodically.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Barbados. By using our website or booking a rental, you agree to resolve any disputes under the jurisdiction of Barbados courts.
